The Model Four is perfectly balanced for almost any space. Most speakers have holes in them to let air escape, we call this a “ported” design. Unfortunately, ported speakers perform poorly when placed next to walls, corners, and small spaces.

Model Four is a sealed speaker, meaning it has no holes or ports, helping ensure it sounds incredible wherever you put it. This design is called acoustic suspension, a technology KLH invented nearly 70 years ago and still uses today.

At 13-inches wide and 8.25-inches deep, Model Four delivers the presence of a true floorstanding loudspeaker without demanding a floor plan built around it.

Model Four pays homage to our 1950s heritage with real wood veneers, period-inspired details, and a design that expertly captures the spirit of classic stereo systems.

Real Wood Veneer - Natural wood grain ensures every Model Four is unique and will remain timelessly beautiful. Choose from English Walnut, White Oak, or Black Ash finishes.
Wide Baffle - Most speakers are slim and deep, whereas KLH speakers are wide and shallow. This broad face is the signature look of KLH, and it is as functional as it is gorgeous. The wide front baffle helps ensure more of the music stays where it belongs, right in front of you.
Magnetic Grilles - Period-inspired fabrics effortlessly cling to the front of the speakers to create the signature silhouette of classic speakers. Magnetic grilles are included with your purchase.
Slanted Riser Base - An included 6-degree matte black steel riser base lifts the speaker to the ideal listening height and angle, completing the silhouette.

Model Four features three drivers to expertly produce full-range music playback. The 8-inch woofer offers deep, punchy bass while the dedicated 4-inch midrange speaker perfectly reproduces voices and instrumentation. To round out the sonic spectrum, a 1-inch tweeter makes high notes sparkle with definition and clarity. Most speakers of this size skip the midrange speaker, demanding the woofer and tweeter handle the entire frequency band. Model Four does not make that compromise, and the difference is immediate.

8" Pulp-Paper Woofer: Deep, controlled bass from a sealed enclosure, reaching down to 46Hz.
4" Pulp-Paper Midrange: A dedicated driver for the frequencies that matter most: voices, guitars, pianos, everything in the middle of the mix.
1" Aluminum Dome Tweeter: Smooth, extended treble with soft rubber surround. Shared with Model Five.
Three-Position Acoustic Balance Control: A KLH original, the rotary switch on the back trims the mids and highs by 1.5 or 3dB. This helps Model Four sound great in a bright, hard-surfaced room as well as a soft, carpeted one.
